Runtime Error fits in the mystery or suspense genre - sort of. What it really is, is just fun, detective fiction with a sciency twist. There is crime, suspense, intrigue and a sci-fi undertone that permeates the story. The main character is a Seattle detective named Holden Morris, a fairly laid-back, middle-aged bachelor who gets involved in a case that includes a mystery involving the nature of reality.
Here is the blurb from the back cover of my novel:
A Seattle detective is called to investigate a burglary at a computer research lab. What should have been a mundane case for Holden Morris instead becomes a cross-country adventure, an international incident, and the questioning of the very nature of the universe.
A killer on his tail, a lovely mathematician at his side, and government agents that he can't decide if he can trust. It's a bad couple of days for Detective Morris, a tense time for the nation and a revelation about the fabric of the cosmos for all. Will the world be changed forever?

Welcome to the Runtime Error Blog
Hello, My name is Greg Doud, and this is the blog for my first novel, Runtime Error.
This is the space for readers to give author feedback, for new readers to learn about the book, and of course, for shameless self-promotion of the work. You can visit my new author page on Lulu, where the novel is for purchase. I have a paperback version, and an ebook version (at a great price, I might add) currently for iPad and iPod. Do you want to be awesome? You can go to iTunes and give my book a great review and rating! (Click the "View in iTunes" button under the picture on the linked page, and it will open your iTunes to the right page in the store for rating.)
Thank you so much for visiting this blog! I am excited to hear what readers think of my first novel, Runtime Error. Another shameless plug: check out my new author page, where you can buy a great book by an independent publisher and new author.
